Book launch and Postcard round-up
by matt

So the new book is out and our little book debuts went swimmingly with everyone drinking wine and buying books and being happy with their books except for the kids’ event in Toronto where we mostly drew on postcards and listened to music at a very high volume.

We made postcards at our collaborative drawing jamboree (above). The kids made shapes and I added lines. We were chuffed with the results and put them in the mail to someone’s grandparents afterwards.
Librairie D & Q has a very nice round up (with photos) from the Montreal event.

Macleans (Canada’s weekly news magazine)
Quill & Quire (print version only)
Here’s something really nice that Maclean’s said:
“Forsythe here creates a world as strange, intricate and ineffably profound as those in animator Hayao Miyazaki’s films.”

And then here’s something great that Quill & Quire said:
“Forsythe’s gentle surrealism recalls Jeff Smith’s Bone or Tove Jansson’s Moomins, which have found a place in the hearts of readers of all ages.”

I know, right?
Thanks to The Beguiling, Little Island Comics and of course Librairie D + Q for organizing everything.
Once again, the book is now out and you can buy it here on Amazon or at finer booksellers everywhere in the English-speaking world.
