I’ve been working on a big illustration project for the last couple weeks and I occasionally take a break and do some scripting. Mostly Javascript and PHP. It seems to work the other side of my brain and gives me great satisfaction.

Here is Azurl – a simple bookmarklet that gives you a clean Amazon Associates URL (not a messy one, like Amazon tries to force on you) for any product at Amazon.com.

Instructions:

1. Drag this link into your browser’s bookmark bar:

2. Update the last line with your Associates ID

I don’t use Amazon Associates links very often, but I occasionally pepper them in book reviews I do on Drawn. This bookmarklet would have saved me a lot of copying/pasting/reconstructing URLs over the years.
