Following Tonci’s comment – I did a quick YouTube search and found this video interview with Naoki Urasawa (author of 20th Century Boys and Monster). If the French is a problem, there’s an English translation here. Also on YouTube, a (silent) look at Urasawa’s studio.

Holy crap! Thanks so much for the link, Matt. I don’t think I’ve ever seen footage of a mangaka’s studio, especially someone’s like Urasawa.
Have you been reading Urasawa’s Pluto, by the way? It hasn’t been licensed for translation in English yet, but it does exist in the web in scanlation form… it’s really quite excellent (on par with what I’ve read of 20th Century Boys).
You get to see him and his assistants drawing! Woohoo! Man, Urusawa’s drawings are amazing…
Kean – I haven’t been reading Pluto – but I’m reading Monster and 20th C. Boys – which I found at the library in French. It’s wonderful stuff. Just what I need.
Kazu – How great would it be to spend a day in one of those studios and watch just watch them work? I would learn so much.
