Grand Perspective

No, this isn’t some abstract art project where I’ve gone crazy with the gradient tool. It’s a snapshot of my hard drive courtesy of Grand Perspective. I’m working on some big illustration assignments and Photoshop is the greediest bastard at the dinner table these days; constantly nagging about scratch disk space whenever I scan something at 600dpi.

Anyway, Grand Perspective (which I discovered over at Hugh’s blog), gives me an instant overview of all disk space. Each box represents a file, and each cluster of boxes represents a folder. Just click on the box and GP will tell you which files are cluttering up your workflow.

So far, it’s helped me free up over seven gigabytes.
