Ahoy! Gipi‘s gone pirate-crazy and he’s posted a bunch of these great character designs on his blog. (They’re also really high-resolution, so I might have to print a couple out to hang in the studio). I guess his next book is going to be a bit of a swashbuckler?

He’s also put together this great little tutorial on composition and light. I read it with the clumsy Babelfish translator. Does anyone know a better blog translator out there? Anyway, it was still instructive – and it was great to see how Gipi approaches his panels.
