Come join us in celebrating the release of Scottish sweater-pop band Belle & Sebastian’s newest album, The Life Pursuit, and the release of a new graphic novel adapting their songs, Put The Book Back On The Shelf! The new album is quite good (I’m listening to it now), and will provide the background music for the evening. If you like what you hear, it will be on sale at the event courtesy of Soundscapes Records.

The graphic novel is an anthology of adaptations and interpretations of Belle & Sebastian’s music by numerous comics creators. Of note are Canadians Kalman Andrasofszky, Christopher Butcher, and Ramon Perez, who are featured in the book and will be on hand to sign your copy!

Come have a beer or a cocktail, listen to some good music and support local cartoonists (and your friends). See you there!
